Reuben’s primary area of practice lies in construction, engineering, and oil and gas disputes, where he has developed deep expertise in handling complex, high-value, and technically intricate matters surrounding this area. He regularly acts for a wide range of stakeholders in the construction and energy sectors, including developers, main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.

His experience extends to all major dispute resolution forums, including international and domestic arbitrations and statutory adjudication proceedings under the applicable dispute resolution regimes. Reuben is well-versed in disputes arising from delay and disruption claims, defective works, variations, termination issues, and performance bond calls.

Beyond dispute resolution, Reuben also advises clients on ongoing project matters, including contract administration, claims strategy, risk management, and project delivery issues. His advisory work often involves advising on standard form construction contracts, including those based on FIDIC, PAM, and PWD frameworks. Reuben has also assisted clients with the drafting of bespoke construction contracts, custom-drafted to reflect the unique commercial objectives, technical requirements, and legal considerations of the parties involved.
