Justin Yap Khai Wen holds a LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of Liverpool, U.K. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2022. Prior to joining Lavania & Balan Chambers, Justin completed his pupillage at Chong + Kheng Hoe. Justin is also a member of the Young Society of Construction Law Malaysia.

Justin’s primary area of practice is in construction law. He regularly represents clients for construction disputes in litigation, arbitration, and statutory adjudication. In addition to construction law, Justin also represents clients in commercial and general litigation.

Justin has assisted as second-chair in trials at the lower courts and assisted in hearings at both the High Court and Court of Appeal.
